What should I bring to your first session?
A short list. Most of it is about temperature and darkness.

Short answer: layers, and anything that helps you switch off. Longer answer below, because the details genuinely make a difference to how the hour goes.
Layers, more than you think
You are going to sit still for an hour, and a body that is not moving cools down. People who bring a cardigan are consistently happier than people who do not. We have blankets, and you are welcome to one, but bring your own layer as well.
An eye mask, if you want real darkness
The room is dim, not dark. Some people like watching the panels; others want nothing at all coming in. If you are the second kind, bring a mask. It is the single most common thing people wish they had.
Headphones, if you are particular about sound
There is music running and it suits most people. If you have something you already unwind to, bring it and your own headphones.
Water
Drink some before you come and more afterwards. It is unglamorous advice and it is the advice.
What not to bring
- Your phone, functionally. Bring it, then put it away. The hour does not work if it is on your chest.
- A plan. There is nothing to achieve in here and trying to achieve something is the main thing that gets in the way.
- Your dog. Unfortunately not. We love animals but have carpeting, and had problems with fleas in the past, and had to have our whole place fumigated.
And arrive ten minutes early
Not five. Ten gives you time to sign in, use the bathroom and stop being someone who has just driven here. If it is your first visit you will also sign a waiver and pay the one-time $10 lifetime membership, which never renews.
Not sure if this is for you? Call or text Frannie for fifteen minutes. It is free, there is no pitch, and she will tell you honestly whether a couple of hours, a package, an overnight or none of the above makes sense. (561) 531-7178
